报告标题:全息3D成像及其应用( Holoscopic 3D Imaging and Its Applications)

摘要:全息3D成像是一种用于捕获和显示三维图像的技术,与传统的立体3D方法相比,它提供了更身临其境的观看体验。它旨在复制我们在现实世界中观察物体时产生的自然深度感知和视差效果。在这个报告中,我将介绍全息三维成像的基本原理,以及我们如何制作一个全息相机来获取全息三维图像。然后,我将介绍我们创建的IEEE DataPort 公开的微手势识别数据集、并在其上构建机器学习系统方面的工作。此外,我将介绍我们最近在构建全息图像模拟器上的工作,该模拟器使用混合和视差估计从全息3D图像中生成数据。最后,我将介绍它的一些应用。

Abstract: Holoscopic 3D imaging is a technique used to capture and display three-dimensional images that provide a more immersive viewing experience compared to traditional stereoscopic 3D methods. It aims to replicate the natural depth perception and parallax effect that occurs when we view objects in the real world. In this talk, I will introduce the basic principle on Holoscopic 3D imaging and how we make a holoscopic camera for holoscopic 3D image acquisition. Then, I will present our works on creating a micro-gesture recognition dataset public available at IEEE DataPort and building machine learning systems on it. Further, I will present our recent work on building a holoscopic image simulator to generate data using blender and disparity estimation from Holoscopic 3D images. Finally, I will introduce its some applications.



报告人简介:孟鸿鹰,英国伦敦布鲁内尔大学电子与电气工程系教授。在此之前,他曾在伦敦大学学院(UCL)、约克大学、南安普顿大学等多所英国大学担任研究职位。毕业于西安交通大学通信与电子系统专业,获博士学位,曾任清华大学电子工程系讲师。他是IEEE的高级会员,也是 IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology (TCSVT)IEEE Transactions on Cognitive and Developmental Systems (TCDS)的副主编。发表论文200余篇,被引用6000余次。

Dr Hongying Meng is a Reader with Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Brunel University London, UK. Before that, he held research positions in several UK universities including University College London (UCL), University of York, University of Southampton. He received his Ph.D. degree in Communication and Electronic Systems from Xi’an Jiaotong University and was a lecturer in Electronic Engineering Department of Tsinghua University, China. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology (TCSVT) and IEEE Transactions on Cognitive and Developmental Systems (TCDS). He has published over 200 papers with more than 6000 citations.
