报告一：

Title: Writing Perfect Papers: A Top-Down Approach

Abstract:

We write research papers to share our research with the community, and wish to get them published in the best international conferences and journals. However, our papers are rejected routinely by these same venues that we submit to, and complaints from the reviewers are often related to writing problems. In this talk, we will have a long discussion on the entire spectrum of the paper writing process by taking a top-down approach, and talking about four things: the story, the work, the art, and the detail. I will share some of my thoughts and experiences after co-authoring over 300 papers in my academic career, many of them pretty well cited (with a H-index of 74). This talk will be delivered in the English language.

简介:李葆春，博士、教授、IEEE Fellow。 1995在清华大学计算机科学系取得学士学位，1997年和2000年在伊利诺伊大学香槟分校分别获得硕士和博士学位。博士毕业至今，一直任教于加拿大多伦多大学电子与计算机工程系。李教授自2005年8月开始担任由加拿大贝尔公司授予的计算机工程讲座教授。其主要研究方向为云计算、大规模分布式系统，数据中心网络，网络编码应用以及无线网络等。李教授已合著发表300多篇学术论文，被引用15000多次，H指数为74， i10指数为220。李博士曾于2000年获得IEEE通信协会通信系统领域 Leonard G. Abraham奖，及于2009年分别获得IEEE通信协会多媒体通信最佳论文奖和多伦多大学McLean 奖。

报告二：

题目：Securing smart services in future Internet-of-Things 

简介：王聪，博士，目前为美国欧道明大学计算机系和网络安全中心助理教授。他的研究方向包括移动计算，隐私保护，机器学习，优化算法与能效。 加入欧道明大学前，他在硅谷华为美国研究院进行端侧深度学习软件框架的研发工作。他曾在各类学术会议和期刊上发表过文章，包括IEEE Trans. on Mobile Computing，以及INFOCOM，ICDCS，IPDPS，IJCAI, PerCOM, SECON，并担任多个主要期刊的审稿人，包括JSAC，TON，TMC，TPDS，TC，TWC，IoT。 他是无线可充电传感器网络的合作者，并拥有一项美国专利。 王聪于16年获得纽约州立大学石溪分校电子与计算机工程系 博士学位，并于香港中文大学 信息工程专业获得 学士学位（08'）和哥伦比亚大学 硕士学位 (09')。
