Shukai Duan, he is currently a professor of college of electronics and information engineering of Southwest University in China, and the deputy director of national engineering laboratory for intelligent transmission and control technology.
Prof. Duan received Ph.D. degree in computer science from Chongqing University, China in 2006 and did postdoctoral research on control theory and engineering in Chongqing University from 2007 to 2009. Then, He had been invited to do collaborative research as a visiting professor at department of electrical engineering and computer science in University of Michigan, University of Windsor, Texas A&M University at Qatar, City University of Hong Kong from 2010 to 2016, respectively.
Prof. Duan’s primary research interests include artificial neural networks (ANN), chaotic neural networks (CNNs), neuromorphic-computing system; memristor devices Nano-electronic devices based ANN, and brain-like intelligent systems. He was in charge of more than 20 research projects as Principal Investigator, including three National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and New Century Excellent Talents from Ministry of Education Program. He have published more than 130 papers in Nature Communications, IEEE Trans. on TNNLS, IEEE Trans. on CAS, SMC, Electronics Letters, Nonlinear Dynamics, and international conferences.
He has taken in charge of serval special issues of international journals as an editor broad member, and served as an associate editor of Neurocomputing from 2015. He also has been ever invited as Co-Chair, Program Chair, Keynote Speaker, Invited Speaker in more than twenty international conferences such as IWCFTA, WCICA, UKACC IEEE Control, ICIST, ISNN, ICICIP, etc. In addition, He was also an active reviewer of IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE transaction on Fuzzy Systems, IEEE transaction on Very Large Scale Integration Systems, IEEE transaction on circuit and systems, IEEE transactions on Nanotechnology, IEEE transactions on Industrial Electronics, International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, Neural Networks and so on.
